FAQ
When can I drive (legally)?
As soon as you have completed all of your tasks from the Secretary of State and they have updated your file. This usually includes (1) the Graduate to Safety Class, (2) the $70 Reinstatement Fee, and (3) your Suspension Time. There could be other requirements issued by the Sec. of State or a Judge, such as testing (written or practical), urine samples, followup court procedures, community service and others. To find out if you are legal to drive or what other requirements you may have to complete, please call the Secretary of State at (217) 782-6901.
How long does it take for the Sec. of State to update my file?
This usually takes 7-10 days. This part of the process is out of our control. We will submit your info to the state as soon as we can, but we cannot update your file.
How can I pay my reinstatement fee?
Normally you can do this by paying online, in person at full service facilities, through the mail, or over the phone. For more information, go to: apps.ilsos.gov/reinstatementfees/
I can't make it to my class. Can I reschedule or get a refund?
You can always reschedule to another class, just call us at (708)226-2022 or email us at orlandsafetyschool@gmail.com. For refunds, there is a $20 non-refundable fee. Please call or email us.
I already took an online (ticket) class, why am I taking this one?
That class was likely for a court supervision and related to a single ticket, as given by a court. We have no affiliation with that class and it will not serve in the place of this class.
When is my (suspension) time up?
If you have your (up to date) paperwork from the Secretary of State's office, it is called the "termination date". If you cannot locate this, or are unsure about it being current, please call the Sec. of State's office at (217) 782-6901.
